Terms of Use for Steeple

The operator and the governing law were resolved on 28 July 2026 to Billionweb, Singapore, and are stated at the foot of this page.
Apple requires that a subscription app link to terms from the paywall itself, not only from Profile. Blueprint 4.6 already places the link there. Do not remove it, it is a Guideline 3.1.2 rejection.
By using Steeple you agree to what is written here. It is meant to be readable, so it is short.
What Steeple is
Steeple gives you one Bible verse each day with a short plain English explanation, a reflection question, a widget, a reading streak, and a way to ask a question about the verse you are reading.
Steeple is a reading aid. It is not a church, not a counsellor, and not a substitute for either.
The free version
You can use Steeple without paying and without an account. The daily verse, its explanation, the reflection question, the widget, the daily reminder and the streak are free and stay free. The free version also includes a limited number of questions in Ask and a limited number of saved verses.
The subscription
Steeple Premium is an auto renewing subscription, offered as two plans. Read this section before you start the free trial. These are the full terms and they are stated plainly on purpose.

- The subscription renews automatically at the end of every period. It does not stop on its own and there is no reminder you have to act on.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID. If you start the free trial, the first charge is taken at the end of the 7 days, and the app tells you that exact date before you start.
- Your Apple ID is charged the renewal price within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- The subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancelling later than that means the next period is charged, and the cancellation takes effect when that period ends.
- How to cancel: open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Steeple, then tap Cancel. Profile inside Steeple links to the same place. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends. It does not refund the period you are in.
- If you cancel during the free trial you are not charged. Cancel at any point before the 7 days are up.
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
- Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Only cancelling in your Apple subscription settings does that.
- The free trial is offered once. If you have had it before, subscribing charges you your plan's price immediately.
- If we ever change the price, Apple will ask you to agree before any renewal at the new price, and you will not be charged the new price without that.
We do not offer weekly plans. We do not run hidden tiers. The price you see is the price.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue a refund. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refuses and you think that is unfair, write to us and we will do what we can to help, but the decision is Apple's.
Ask, and its limits
Ask uses an AI model to answer a question about the verse you are reading.
- Answers are generated and can be wrong. Read them as a starting point, not as authority. Check anything that matters against the text itself and against people you trust.
- Ask answers questions about the verse on screen. It will decline questions about other things.
- Ask does not give medical, legal, financial or mental health advice, and you should not rely on it for any of those.
- Ask does not speak for God, does not deliver personal messages, and does not predict the future. If it ever appears to, that is a malfunction, and we would like to know about it.
- We may limit how many questions can be asked in a day to keep the service running.
Content and beliefs
The explanations aim to be broadly Protestant, non denominational, and fair to the text. Where Christians genuinely read a passage differently, the app tries to say so rather than pick a side. We will get this wrong sometimes. Tell us when we do and we will look at it.
Bible text is used from the World English Bible and the King James Version, both in the public domain.
What you may not do
Do not resell, redistribute or repackage the explanations, or scrape the app to build a competing product. The Bible text is public domain and free for anyone. The explanations, the app, its name and its design are not.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Steeple is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, always be accurate, or always be free of faults.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Billionweb is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Steeple. Apple is a third party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be described in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Singapore.
