Terms of Use for Bible Verse

By using Bible Verse you agree to what is written here. It is meant to be readable, so it is short.

Bible Verse is made by Steeple and operated by Billionweb, Singapore. "We" and "us" below mean Billionweb.

What Bible Verse is

Bible Verse gives you a daily feed of Bible verses, prayers, quotes and affirmations, widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen, reminders, a reading streak, a Prayer chat, voices that read aloud, and an optional account that backs up your favorites.

Bible Verse is a reading aid. It is not a church, not a counsellor, and not a substitute for either.

The free version

You can use Bible Verse without paying and without an account. The daily feed, the free categories, the widgets, the Lock Screen verse, reminders, the streak and the Default read aloud voice are free and stay free. The free version includes a limited number of feed items, Prayer chat messages and quiz rounds each day. Some categories, themes, voices and higher limits need Premium. We may change the free limits to keep the service running.

Premium

Premium is an auto renewing subscription, offered as two standard plans. Read this section before you start the free trial. These are the full terms and they are stated plainly on purpose.

• The subscription renews automatically at the end of every period. It does not stop on its own and there is no reminder you have to act on.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID. If you start the free trial, the first charge is taken at the end of the 3 days, and the app tells you that exact date before you start.
• Your Apple ID is charged the renewal price within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• The subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancelling later than that means the next period is charged, and the cancellation takes effect when that period ends.
• How to cancel: open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Bible Verse, then tap Cancel. Inside the app, Profile, Settings, Manage subscription opens the same place. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends. It does not refund the period you are in.
• If you cancel during the free trial you are not charged. Cancel at any point before the 3 days are up.
• Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
• Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Only cancelling in your Apple subscription settings does that.
• The free trial is offered once. If you have had it before, subscribing charges you your plan's price immediately.
• If we ever change the price of a plan you already have, Apple will ask you to agree before any renewal at the new price, and you will not be charged the new price without that.

Discounted annual plans

From time to time the app offers Premium at a discount: $29.99 per year or $35.99 per year. These are also auto renewing subscriptions. They renew every year at the same discounted price until you cancel, and everything in the list above applies to them, except that they do not include a free trial: the first charge is taken when you buy.

Lifetime

Premium Lifetime is a one time purchase of $99.99. It is not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is no trial. It unlocks Premium on your Apple ID for as long as we offer Bible Verse.

Prices

Prices here are in US dollars. The App Store shows the price for your country or region, which may differ, before you confirm any purchase, and that shown price is the one you are charged. The price you see is the price: there are no hidden tiers and no weekly plan.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue a refund. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refuses and you think that is unfair, write to us and we will do what we can to help, but the decision is Apple's.

Prayer chat, and its limits

Prayer chat uses an AI model to write replies.

• Replies are generated and can be wrong. Read them as a starting point, not as authority. Check anything that matters against the Bible itself and against people you trust.
• Prayer chat is not pastoral care, counselling or therapy, and it does not give medical, legal, financial or mental health advice. Do not rely on it for any of those.
• It does not speak for God, does not deliver personal messages, and does not predict the future. If it ever appears to, that is a malfunction, and we would like to know about it.
• If you may be in danger, do not use the chat. If a message suggests someone is at risk, the app shows crisis support resources instead of a reply. The app cannot call anyone for you. Contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.
• We limit how many messages can be sent each day to keep the service running.

Read aloud voices

The Default voice is spoken by your iPhone. The Premium voices are generated by an AI speech model. Either may mispronounce a name or a word. Only the text you choose to hear is sent for speech.

Accounts and backup

An account is optional. You can sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google to back up your favorites, collections, streak and settings and restore them on another iPhone. Keep your Apple or Google account secure; we cannot recover it for you.

You can delete your account inside the app: Profile, Settings, Account and backup, Delete account. That removes your synced data and your account from our systems. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because the subscription belongs to your Apple ID.

Your content

You can write your own quotes, pick photos for themes and type messages in chat. That content stays yours. You give us permission to store, back up and display it so the app can work. Do not add anything unlawful, hateful or that you have no right to use.

Content and beliefs

Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. Prayers and affirmations are written for the app. Quotes are from historical Christian authors. The content aims to be broadly Christian, non denominational and fair to the text. We will get this wrong sometimes. Tell us when we do and we will look at it.

What you may not do

Do not resell, redistribute or repackage the app's content, or scrape the app to build a competing product. The Bible text is public domain and free for anyone. The prayers, affirmations, the app, its name and its design are not.

No warranty, and the limit of our liability

Bible Verse is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, always be accurate, or always be free of faults.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Billionweb is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Bible Verse. Apple is a third party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be described in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Singapore.
