Steeple Support

One verse a day, explained in plain English.

Email: arshpreet@billionweb.co. A real person reads every message, usually within two working days.

Billing and subscriptions

How much is it? $49.99 per year or $9.99 per month, each starting with a 7 day free trial for new subscribers. There is no weekly plan and there never will be.

How do I cancel? Open Profile inside Steeple and tap Manage subscription, or go to the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Steeple, then Cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the current period ends.

I cancelled during the trial. Will I be charged? No. Cancel any time before the trial ends and nothing is charged.

I want a refund. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, and we genuinely cannot issue one. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find Steeple and request a refund. If Apple declines and you believe that is wrong, email us and we will help however we can.

I paid but the app still shows me the paywall. Open Profile inside Steeple and tap Restore purchases. That is almost always enough. If it is not, email us and tell us the Apple ID email you purchased with, and we will sort it out.

I changed phones and lost my streak. Steeple stores everything on your device and has no accounts, which is what keeps it private, but it also means nothing transfers automatically unless you restored from an iPhone backup. Email us and we will tell you what we can do.

The widget

The widget is not showing up. Long press an empty part of your home screen, tap the + in the top corner, search for Steeple, choose a size and add it. If Steeple does not appear in the list, open the app once first, then try again.

The widget is showing yesterday's verse. Widgets are refreshed by iOS on its own schedule, not by us. Opening the app updates it immediately. If it stays stuck for more than a day, remove the widget and add it again.

Reminders

I am not getting my daily reminder. Open the Settings app, find Steeple, tap Notifications, and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Then check the time inside Steeple under Profile, Daily reminder. Reminders are local to your phone, so they work with no internet.

Ask

Ask says I have reached my limit. The free version includes 3 questions in total, so you can see what an answer is like. A subscription includes 30 a day, and that count resets at midnight.

The answer looks wrong. Answers are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. Please tell us which verse and what it said, and we will look at it. We take this seriously, particularly anything that reads as speaking for God or taking a hard side on a contested passage, because the app is not supposed to do either.

Ask is not working. Ask is the only part of Steeple that needs the internet. Everything else works offline. Check your connection first.

Content

Which translations do you use? The World English Bible and the King James Version. Both are in the public domain, which is what lets Steeple include the full text without a licence fee. You can switch between them in Profile.

Why not the NIV or the ESV? Those translations are copyrighted and licensing them is not possible at this app's price.

I think an explanation is wrong, unfair or off. Please tell us. Include the verse reference. The explanations are written to be broadly Protestant, non denominational and fair to the text, and where Christians read a passage differently the app is supposed to say so rather than pick a side. When it fails at that, we want to fix it.

Privacy

Steeple has no account, no login, no ads and no ad tracking. It never reads your device's advertising identifier and never asks permission to track you.

Your streak, saved verses and settings never leave your phone. The only thing you write that is sent anywhere is a question you type into Ask, and nothing identifying you goes with it.

Does Steeple collect anything? Yes, two things, and we would rather say so here than bury it. The app counts anonymous usage, so we can see which features people actually use, and it sends a crash report when it breaks, so we can fix it. Both are tied to a random number made when you install, not to you, and neither is used for advertising or sold to anyone. Full detail, including the exact list of what is counted, is in the Privacy Policy.

Accessibility

Steeple supports Dynamic Type at every size, including the largest accessibility sizes, and full VoiceOver labelling. If something is hard to read or does not work with VoiceOver, that is a bug worth reporting and we will fix it.
