Help with SignLeaf

Let’s get you back to signing.

Include your SignLeaf version (shown in Profile), iPhone model, iOS version, and the steps that led to the issue. For purchase problems, describe what Apple showed and whether the subscription appears in iPhone Settings. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, confidential documents or signature images. Redact private information from screenshots.

Scanning and signing

How do I sign a document?

Choose Scan Document on Home, scan your paper pages, then review their order, crop and rotation. In the editor, add a saved signature or capture one, then move and resize it. Add text, dates or checkmarks as needed. Preview every page, choose PDF, PNG or JPG, and tap Save. At least one visible handwritten signature or initial is required on the document.

Can I import a PDF or export just my signature?

The current app signs paper documents captured with its scanner. It does not import existing PDFs, export unsigned scans or export standalone signature images. You can choose an existing photo when capturing a signature or initials, then save that handwriting in the library for reuse inside SignLeaf.

The camera is unavailable or permission was denied

Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and allow SignLeaf to use the camera, then return to the app. A supported iPhone camera is needed for document scanning. For a signature, you can use the photo picker instead. If Screen Time or device management restricts access, the person managing that restriction may need to change it.

My signature looks faint or has a shadow

Use dark ink on plain paper in even light. Crop close to your handwriting without cutting off dots or fine strokes. Adjust Cleanup and Ink Strength while comparing the original, and zoom in to check the result. Retake the photo if important strokes are missing.

Will a recipient accept my signature?

SignLeaf places an image of your handwriting on the scanned document. It does not verify identity, notarize a document or provide a digital-signature certificate or tamper-proof audit trail. Ask the recipient whether this signing method meets their requirements before relying on it.

Saving and finding your files

What can I do for free?

Scan, keep signatures and initials, edit and preview without a subscription. The first three distinct documents successfully saved can be saved for free. After that, saving a new signed document requires active subscription access. Failed or cancelled saves do not use the allowance. Re-saving an already saved document, including in another format, does not use another free document.

Successful saves during a trial or paid period also count toward this history. Deleting documents or ending a subscription does not reset it. You can close subscription offers shown after onboarding or in Profile and continue using the available free features.

Where are my documents, and how do I share them?

Open Documents to find your local drafts and saved work. After a successful Save, use Share or Save to Files to make a copy outside SignLeaf. PDF creates one file containing all pages; PNG and JPG create a separate numbered image for each page.

SignLeaf has no cloud sync and excludes its document folder from device backups. Keep copies of important completed files elsewhere. Reinstalling the app or restoring a subscription cannot recover lost documents or signatures.

I cancelled sharing, or the recipient did not receive the file

Cancelling the share sheet does not remove a successfully saved output. Reopen your document and share it again. Check the destination app or Files to confirm the copy is present; the share sheet cannot confirm that another person received it.

Save failed or was interrupted

Keep the app installed. Check that the document contains a visible signature or initial and that your iPhone has enough free storage. Reopen the draft, preview it and try Save again. A failed or cancelled save does not count as a successfully saved document. If a subscription is needed, wait for Apple to confirm the purchase or use Restore Purchases. If the problem continues, contact support with the error shown.

Subscriptions and billing

What does the subscription include?

The weekly subscription allows unlimited new signed-document saves while access is active. It does not include cloud storage or recovery. The app and Apple's purchase confirmation show your actual weekly price. A three-day trial is offered only when you are eligible and it is shown before purchase. The subscription renews weekly after any trial unless you cancel.

How do I restore a subscription or fix missing access?

Connect to the internet, check that you are using the Apple Account used for the purchase, then open SignLeaf Profile → Restore Purchases. Restore is also available on the subscription screen. Check iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions to see whether SignLeaf is active. A restore does not restart an expired subscription or restore local files.

If Apple shows a pending payment or Ask to Buy approval, wait for it to finish. An interrupted purchase may appear after you reopen the app and restore. If Apple shows an active subscription but access is still missing, contact support before buying again.

How do I cancel a trial or subscription?

Open Profile → Manage Subscription, or iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SignLeaf. You can also use Apple's subscription management page. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends to avoid renewal. Deleting SignLeaf or deleting documents does not cancel a subscription.

Follow the expiration or access date Apple displays; a cancelled free trial may end immediately. Your saved local content is not deleted when access ends. See Apple's cancellation instructions.

How do I request a refund?

Apple handles App Store refund requests. Visit Apple's Report a Problem page with the Apple Account used for the purchase and follow the available steps. Apple determines eligibility. If you also want to stop future renewals, cancel the subscription separately.

Can I use SignLeaf offline?

Local scanning, signature cleanup, editing and previewing work offline. Purchases, offer loading, restores and some subscription-access checks need an internet connection. Previously verified access may be available from the purchase service's cache, but uninterrupted offline subscription access is not guaranteed. Sharing depends on the destination you choose.

Privacy, deletion and settings

How do I delete documents or signatures?

Use the document's menu in Documents to delete it, or the signature's menu in the signature library to delete that item. Removing a library signature does not remove it from documents where you already placed it. Edit or delete those documents and remove exported copies separately.

Unused local source images are cleaned up on a later app launch; images still needed by other documents or a recoverable draft remain. Deletion does not reset successful-save history or cancel billing. There is no SignLeaf login account to delete.

What information leaves my iPhone?

Your document and signature content is processed locally unless you choose to share it. The app uses Firebase for default-enabled usage analytics and crash reporting, and RevenueCat and Apple for subscriptions and Apple Ads attribution. The current app has no in-app analytics or diagnostics switch. See the Privacy policy for the data involved, retention, and ways to make a privacy request.

How do I make a privacy or data-deletion request?

Email arshpreet@billionweb.co with the subject “SignLeaf privacy request.” Describe what you want to access or delete. We may need limited information to locate and verify service records because your email alone does not identify a SignLeaf installation. Do not send private documents, signature images or passwords. Sending a request does not itself disable app analytics or cancel a subscription.

How do I change the language or appearance?

Open Profile to change Language, Appearance or Haptics. Language changes apply in the app immediately. System default follows your iPhone's language. SignLeaf supports English, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Turkish. These support and legal pages are currently in English.
