Privacy Policy for Rush PDF
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Rush PDF is an Android app for reading, marking up, signing, scanning and editing PDF documents. This page explains what information the app handles, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the Rush PDF app (package app.crane.pdf) published on Google Play by Billionweb.
The short version
- Your documents never leave your phone. Opening, reading, annotating, signing, scanning, text recognition, compressing and every other tool run on your device. We never receive, upload, store or read your files or their contents.
- There is no Rush PDF account. You never sign in, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- We use Google Firebase to count how the app is used and to receive crash reports, and Google AdMob to show ads in the free version. These receive device and usage information described below, never document content.
- Subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you are asked for consent before ads are personalised or your data is used for advertising, and you can change that choice at any time.
Information that stays on your device
The PDF files and images you open, scan or create, the annotations, signatures, bookmarks and notes you add, your reading positions and your settings are stored only on your device. Text recognition (making a scan searchable) uses Google ML Kit models that run on your device. Document scanning uses the Google Play services document scanner, which also runs on your device and returns the pages directly to the app.
The app reads only the folders you choose through the Android file picker, so it can list your PDF files, and you can revoke that access in Android settings at any time. If you use the camera to scan, the camera images are processed on your device and are not sent to us.
Information collected by services we use
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase Analytics | App events such as opening the app, which tool was chosen, whether the paywall was shown, and subscription events; an app instance identifier; device model, Android version, language and approximate country; and, where you consent or consent is not required, the advertising identifier. | To understand which features are used, to improve the app, and to measure which of our ads lead to installs and subscriptions. |
| Google Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reports: the stack trace, device model, Android version and app version. | To find and fix crashes. |
| Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform | The advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, and your consent choice. | To show ads in the free version, to limit how often they appear, to prevent fraud, and to record your consent choice. |
| Google Play Billing | Your purchase and subscription status. Payment details stay with Google. | To unlock Rush PDF Pro and to restore it on a new device. |
Analytics events never contain a file name, a file path, page content, text you typed or anything else taken from your documents. Page counts and file sizes are only ever recorded in broad ranges, such as "1 to 10 pages".
These services are provided by Google and process data under Google's own terms. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Advertising and your consent choices
The free version shows a small number of ads. Rush PDF Pro shows none. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent form asks whether ads may be personalised and whether your data may be used for advertising and measurement. Until you choose, advertising data is not used. You can review or change your choice at any time in the app under Profile, Privacy options. Elsewhere, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in Android settings under Privacy, Ads.
Usage data setting
In Profile you can turn off usage data. When it is off, the app sends no analytics events and no crash reports, clears the analytics data held for this installation, and deletes crash reports that were not yet sent.
Subscriptions
Rush PDF Pro is a subscription sold through Google Play. Google Play processes the payment and tells the app whether a subscription is active. We receive no card details, no billing address and no name. You manage or cancel the subscription in the Google Play Store under Payments and subscriptions.
Retention
Your documents and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Crash reports are retained by Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android settings removes everything the app stored on your device. To ask us to delete analytics data associated with your installation, email arshpreet@billionweb.co with the subject "Rush PDF data deletion".
Children
Rush PDF is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Data sent to Google services travels over encrypted connections. Documents you protect with a password in the app are encrypted on your device with the password you choose, which we never receive.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
