These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the AC Universal Remote Control mobile application ("the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.
2. Subscriptions, free trial & billing
- The app is free to use and ad-supported. An optional auto-renewing subscription removes all ads.
- The price and billing period are shown in the app and on Google Play before you confirm. New subscribers may be offered a 3-day free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account. The subscription auto-renews each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If you start a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Manage or cancel anytime in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Google Play under its policies. We do not process payments and do not receive your card details.
3. Advertising
The free version displays ads served by Google AdMob. Your use of ads is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains the data involved and your consent and opt-out choices.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including: reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying it except as permitted by law; using it for any unlawful purpose; or interfering with its operation or security.
5. Device compatibility & infrared
The app controls devices by sending infrared (IR) signals and therefore requires a phone with a built-in IR blaster. We do not guarantee that every device, model, or brand is supported, or that all functions of a given device will work. Compatibility depends on your hardware and the target device.
6. Trademarks & no affiliation
AC Universal Remote Control is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with any device or appliance manufacturer. All product names, brand names, logos, and trademarks (including, without limitation, Samsung, LG, Haier, Panasonic, TCL, Gree, Toshiba, and Hisense) are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and compatibility purposes. Their use does not imply any endorsement or partnership.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app.
9. Changes
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's principal place of business, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
