Everything you record in Seaglass, your symptoms, medications, doses, notes, bleeding log, and reports, is stored only on your device. Seaglass has no accounts, no cloud sync, and no server that ever receives your health data. Your records ride along in your normal iPhone backup, under your control.
Seaglass collects a small set of anonymous usage events through Firebase Analytics, for example that a check in happened or that a report was exported. These events record only that a feature was used. They never include your symptoms, medication names, doses, notes, or any other health content, and they never say which symptom you logged, which medication you take, or whether a dose went up, went down, or was skipped. They travel with a random app instance identifier that is not linked to your identity, and advertising identifiers are disabled. You can turn this off anytime in Profile under Anonymous usage statistics.
The anonymous usage events are processed on our behalf by Google, as the provider of Firebase Analytics. Purchase records are processed by Apple, which handles payment, and by RevenueCat, our subscription tracking provider, which receives the purchase transaction and a random identifier, never your name and never any health content. Google and RevenueCat are contractually required to protect this data to the same standard set out in this policy, to use it only to provide their service to us, and never to use it for advertising. No one else receives any data from Seaglass.
Anonymous usage events are retained by Firebase Analytics for 14 months and are then deleted automatically. Your health records are not covered by this, because they are never sent to us in the first place; they stay on your phone until you delete them. To have usage events already collected from your device deleted, turn off Anonymous usage statistics in Profile and email us at arshpreet@billionweb.co, and we will remove them.
We do not sell any data. Seaglass shows no ads and does not track you across apps or websites.
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to keep track of subscription status and revenue statistics; it receives the purchase transaction under a random identifier and nothing about your health records.
When you export a PDF report or CSV files, those files go where you choose to share them. Share them only with people you trust, such as your clinician.
Profile contains Erase everything, which permanently deletes all Seaglass data from your phone. There is no copy anywhere else, so there is no undo.
